Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) is a national non-profit looking to change the culture of youth sports so that every child can have a positive youth sports experience, as an opportunity for character development, in addition to skills, etc.
They've developed tools and resources, so when you're oldest joins their first league, and you volunteer to coach or ref, having never played that sport or coached before, and they hand you the bag of balls, cones, and uniforms, you'll be equipped to deliver a positive experience for those kids, increasing the likely hood that they keep participating.

Think my first exposure to PCA was through AYSO or one of the many leagues my kids participated in. They're tools are easy to learn, easy to use, and work.
