The most important play in a game is the next one

Thirty-five million kids play youth sports each year. We want youth sports to remain a youth development platform, not just about competition, wins, losses, or chasing college scholarships - Jason Sacks

We believe that sports "done right" develop character. Left unchecked, sports can foster negativity and abuse—physical, mental, or psychological. To ensure youth sports teach life skills, everyone involved, organizational leaders, coaches, parents, and athletes, must align. - Jason Sacks

It’s about character building, teamwork, overcoming challenges, resilience, risk-taking, mental toughness, self-control, respect for others, and being part of something bigger. These are invaluable traits, especially resilience, which is often lacking in today’s world. -

When my eldest child started playing organized sports, I took my first Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) workshop. That was probably 2001, 2002. Most volunteer coaches, administrators, and parents want to do the right thing. But it's a lot easier with a coaches bag full of tools, exercises, and best practices.

And that's before we get into the skills, rules, organizational, and parent management challenges.

Positive Coaching Alliance delivers the tools.

From 'flushing' mistakes, to feedback 'sandwiches'

Sports 'done right' can be a fantastic place for kids to build the resilience they'll need more than ever in our fast changing, dynamic world.
