30 people is perfect

1

We feel that meeting in this way has really awesome opportunities for globally distributed people to connect. We've found that around 30 people is perfect in terms of engagement. We can all sit around the same table, and the amount of participation goes up. - Dave Cairns

Dave has hosted a number of events in the virtual world, most frequently Virbela to my knowledge. If outputs are a reflection of the system and processes, virtual spaces have a different feel. And if you suspend disbelief for a minute, and engage with trusted people, it can get surprisingly intimate, in a depth of sharing kind of way.

Dave calls it the 'Dive Bar' effect.
